  • Comments Off on Update: Cotswold Tyndale RC – Global Grant ‘Big Space Cancer’

The Rotary Club of Cotswold Tyndale has secured a £55,000 Global Grant to support the Big Space Cancer Appeal, a £17.5m
project for a new oncology suite at the Cheltenham Regional Oncology Centre.

Wonderful news!

The club chose to focus on the Patient Information Centre to address gaps in mental health and holistic support identified by their community survey.

The funding will be used through two key strategies before the 2028 building completion.

  1. Part-funding a facilitator to lead a two-year training programme. The global grant will provide iPads, videos, and training materials to help staff and volunteers better signpost services, especially to disabled and hard-to-reach communities.
  2. The bulk of the funds will provide high-quality fixtures and fittings for the new centre, creating an effective environment for patients and staff.

In total, so far, 26 clubs and other donors have raised an amazing £155,000 plus the grant, and fundraising continues. Our dream is to reach £250,000 in total.

This collaborative effort ensures a visible, lasting impact on local cancer care and patient well-being.
