How Can You Help?

Whether you are part of a Company, or a member of a Club or Charitable Organisation or acting as an individual there are many ways you can help!

There are so many ways you can help

Sponsoring an event. Encouraging your staff to get involved in an event or even organising one themselves. Some companies have 'matched giving' schemes as part of their CSR Best Practices.

  • Sponsor an event
  • Organise an event
  • Support & encourage your staff's involvement (CSR)
Clubs, Charities & Others

Often organisations raise funds but sometimes have difficulty finding causes to support! 50% of the population will suffer from one for of cancer or another in their life, its a sad fact. But that also means everyone involved in organisations is touches by this, either individually or through family or friends.

  • Donate from existing funds (if available)
  • Organise a specific fundraising event
  • Support planned events and help promote success
How can you take your own initiative

Of course you can give to the Hospitals Trust direct, but if you work with one of the clubs, or organisations that feed through the Rotary Appeal you'll also be taking advantage of the multiplying effect of District & Global Grants.

  • Organise your own event (we can help)
  • Support and promote an organised event
  • Join in the efforts with your local Rotary Club

Rotary District 1100 Presentation – What’s it all about?

Gillian Hayward (President of the Rotary Club of Cotswold Tyndale) who are leading this initiative on behalf of District 1100 and others have been to a number of clubs across the District presenting what the Rotary Big Space Cancer Appeal is all about and in particular the area known as “The Focus Centre” which is where all the funds that we raise will be directed.

Here is the latest version of that presentation which also covers where the money is likely to be spent if we are able to raise at least £107.5k which will hopefully be increased still further with the addition of available grants both from the District and Global Funds.

Obviously as we get closer both to our goal and the development of the site then exactly what is needed, and where. will become clearer. However, it was recognised that at this stage, for us to be able to provide a “Vision” for where the funds raised would be spent, to the benefit of the people within our District then having this now would be very useful.

For any Rotary Club seeking to share details of the District 1100 Rotary Big Space Appeal and it’s goal to provide all the facilities needed in the new ‘Focus Centre’, to help communicate everything about the project more easily we’ve produce a Trifold leaflet which you can download and print.  It’s in the form of a PDF which, if you print “double-sided” you can fold into a handy size for all.
