As individuals you can do the following on your own (with our help) or of course through your employer or other organisation:

  1. Organise your own event (we can help)

People organise events all the time. Individually, like getting sponsorship for walking/running or cycling to achieve a specific goal.  We can help you with ideas and then you simply set up your own “Just Giving” page linked to the Rotary Club of Cotswold Tyndale‘s (the lead club coordinating fundraising efforts on behalf of Rotary District 1100)  Main Just Giving Page and then when you’ve completed your goal and you’ve got everyone to support you to make their donations, they are automatically swept into the main fund but your individual efforts are of course recognised through your own page, by the publication of an article on this site and through Social Media.

If you’re setting up your own Just Giving Page to raise funds and allow donors to take advantage of ‘Gift Aid‘ then when setting up your ‘event or activity’ within Just Giving – just confirm you are raising money for a charity and quote “Rotary Club of Cotswold Tyndale” who are the lead club through whose Just Giving Page all funds for the Rotary Big Space Charity Appeal are being funnelled.  Still not sure? Watch this video or the one at the bottom of this page.

Need any help, give Rob a ring on 07788916505 and he’ll see if he can help you.

  2. Support and promote an organised event

As ever, word of mouth is critical to success when an event is organised. We’ll promote all events that are organised to raise funds for this worthy cause via our Facebook Page but you can really help by following our page and whenever an event gets mentioned in a post, even if you can’t personally attend it, simply “like” the post and then share it to your own profile and also to any Community Groups you are a member of to get the word out there,  We’d be eternally grateful as the act, that might take just a minute can make such a difference to an events success. A great example if the Forest of Dean Spring Trails Half Marathon organised by the Royal Forest of Dean Rotary Club!

  3. Join in the efforts with your local Rotary Club

You don’t have to be a “Member” of a Rotary Club to get something out of helping an event be successful.

Actually, most clubs also have “friends” who either don’t have the time or can’t commit to joining a club and attending regular meetings but like to be involved or support certain events. Like Concerts, Car Rallies or Valentine’s Balls for instance – but there are 100s of events across the District throughout the year.

Not sure where your local Rotary Club is?  Check out this interactive map on our District Website through which you can find your local contact details
