DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]THE concert of the Summer\, hosted as it is in the main Nave of Gloucester Cathedral with the prestigious Dursley Male Voice Choir and The Stuart Singers (both of whom are no strangers to singing in the Cathedral) along with Guest Soloist\, the famous opera singer Mark Llewelyn Evans \nBeing held on Mid-Summer’s Day we are hoping that if the sun shines on us\, then guests will not only be able to explore the famous Cloisters (used as Hogwarts Corridors in the Harry Potter movies) but also take advantage of the longest summer’s evening by taking your drinks into the Garth (the pretty enclosed courtyard garden lined on four sides by the cloisters). \nConcert Tickets are on sale now for just £20 (scroll down to the bottom of the page to book online NOW) \nWe are extremely pleased also that Caron Bell has agreed to MC the evening. Caron is an on-screen reporter for ITV West Country. SUMMARY:Rotary Forest of Dean Spring Trails Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””] \nNote: If you are raising funds for Rotary’s Own Big Space Cancer Appeal you can apply for a free entry\nThis Spring Trails Half Marathon is run in the Forest of Dean at the end of March\, using the same organization (but a different course) as the Autumn event. Starting on the road adjacent to the Speech House Hotel in the heart of the forest\, the course then leaves the road to follow a loop of well maintained forest trails (with gentle inclines) before eventually leading back to the Speech House Hotel for the finish. \nThis annual event is organised by The Rotary Club of the Royal Forest of Dean and supported by the Forestry Commission. Proceeds are used to support charities\, both locally and nationally. \nWe are very grateful for the involvement and support of a host of individual volunteers\, together with a number of local organisations who make this event successful; including the Forestry Commission\, the Speech House Hotel and the Forest of Dean Motor Club. \nRegistration\n\nEntrants must be 17 years or older on the day of the race.
